How to Make Homemade Bread And Butter Pudding

Bread and butter pudding is one of those traditional British desserts that everybody loves. The pudding is made from slices of stale buttered bread layered in an oven dish with a liberal scattering of raisins. An egg and milk mix, which has been seasoned with nutmeg, cinnamon or mixed spices, is then poured over the top with more bread put on top. It is then baked in an oven and served. Many folks may serve it with custard or cream, but usually the pudding underneath the crust is moist enough to be eaten without any sauce.
